Sculpt and Stretch – Strengthen, Lengthen, and Restore

Looking for a class that balances strength-building with flexibility, and leaves you feeling both energized and renewed? Welcome to Sculpt and Stretch—a slow, intentional workout that targets your core while increasing full-body mobility, muscular strength, and joint flexibility. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete, this class offers a powerful yet low-impact approach to functional fitness.

Unlike high-intensity workouts that push you to your limit, Sculpt and Stretch focuses on mindful movement, precise muscle engagement, and restorative stretching. It’s designed to help you connect with your body, protect against injury, and improve the way you move both in and out of the studio.

What Is Sculpt and Stretch?

Sculpt and Stretch is a fusion-style class that combines the deep strengthening of core conditioning with the restorative benefits of guided stretching. The sculpt portion uses bodyweight exercises and slow, controlled movements to build strength in your abdominal, back, and stabilizing muscles. The stretch portion incorporates flexibility training, breathwork, and mindful holds to release tension and enhance joint range of motion.

The result? A well-balanced class that tones and strengthens your body while also keeping you limber, relaxed, and injury-free.

Core-Focused Conditioning

At the heart of Sculpt and Stretch is focused core work. A strong core is essential for almost everything you do—whether it’s lifting, walking, sitting with good posture, or preventing low back pain. In this class, you’ll learn to properly engage your deep core muscles, including the transverse abdominis and obliques, through precise, low-impact exercises.

Expect movements like:

  • Slow, controlled planks

  • Deep abdominal contractions

  • Glute bridges

  • Bird-dogs and leg lifts

  • Stabilization exercises using breath and alignment

These exercises not only help sculpt a stronger midsection, but also provide critical support for your spine and improve overall body stability.

Stretch with Intention

After activating and strengthening the body, you’ll shift into a guided stretch sequence that focuses on increasing flexibility, improving circulation, and releasing stored tension. We target major muscle groups including the hamstrings, hip flexors, shoulders, and spine—areas where many people carry stress and tightness from sitting or repetitive movements.

Stretching techniques include:

  • Static and dynamic stretches

  • Deep breathing for muscle release

  • Gentle spinal twists for mobility

  • Lengthening poses inspired by yoga and Pilates

This part of the class enhances recovery, soothes the nervous system, and restores your range of motion—making it perfect for active recovery days or as a complement to more intense training.

Injury Prevention and Joint Health

Sculpt and Stretch is an ideal choice for anyone seeking a safe, sustainable way to stay active while protecting the body from injury. The slow, controlled movements help develop body awareness, reinforce proper alignment, and strengthen the small stabilizing muscles that often get neglected in traditional workouts.

This makes it an excellent class for:

  • People recovering from injury (with modifications)

  • Athletes wanting to improve performance and mobility

  • Older adults looking to improve balance and prevent falls

  • Desk workers looking to counteract poor posture and stiffness

Suitable for All Levels

No matter your age, experience, or current fitness level, Sculpt and Stretch is fully adaptable. Our instructors offer personalized modifications and cues so you can tailor the intensity to your body’s needs. Whether you’re coming for strength, flexibility, stress relief, or injury prevention, you’ll feel supported and challenged in the best way.
