Discover a transformative and nurturing Reiki Energy Healing Circle designed to promote balance, harmony, and overall well-being. Reiki is an ancient healing practice originating in Japan, a form of energy healing that works by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. Join us on a journey of self-discovery and healing, experiencing various modalities of energy work to bring harmony to your mind, body, and spirit.
We offer both in-person and virtual circles. Tuesdays are in-person, Thursdays are virtual, and Sundays are in-person with a Sound Bath. The Tuesday in-person circles go beyond the gift of receiving Reiki. There’s always something unique and powerful, whether we’re cutting cords, or manifesting with sparkles, or burning negative feelings, you’ll leave with a WOW!
On Thursdays, wrap yourself in a cozy blanket and, in the comfort of your home, embrace the healing along with a meditation. Energy has no barriers – you’ll receive the Reiki energy in-person or from a distance.
Sundays are a whole other gift in themselves with the soothing, healing sounds of crystal singing bowls

Travel the World: Every first Tuesday of the month, we celebrate a different country through its music, dance, and food. The evening begins with a grounding Reiki Healing Circle, followed by a complimentary wine and food social featuring flavors from the featured country. As part of the experience, enjoy complimentary Bachata Latin dance—take a beginner-friendly lesson, watch, or join in and dance the night away. It’s all about creating community and uniting the world through culture and connection.

What is a Reiki energy healing session like?
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy-healing practice where a practitioner channels calming life-force energy to help you relax and restore balance. In our group Reiki Energy Healing Circle on the Upper East Side, you simply rest comfortably while receiving the energy. Each week follows a different theme, from inner-child healing to transformation and abundance.
Where are your Reiki sessions held in NYC?
Our in-person Reiki Energy Healing Circles take place at Active Studios, 1521 York Avenue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We also offer virtual circles you can join from home, so you can receive the healing in person or from a distance.
Do I need any experience to attend a Reiki circle?
Not at all. Our healing circles are open to everyone, whether it is your first time or you practice regularly. There is nothing to prepare. Tuesday in-person evenings often include unique experiences like cord-cutting or sound elements, and Sunday circles feature the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls.
How much does a Reiki session cost?
New guests can try their first class free. After that, classes are available as low as $20 when you buy a class pack, and monthly or yearly memberships bring the per-session cost down further compared with single drop-ins. You can choose a class pack or a membership, whichever suits how often you would like to attend.
What is the difference between a group circle and a private Reiki session?
Our group Reiki Energy Healing Circles offer shared, themed healing in a supportive community setting. If you prefer focused one-on-one attention, private sessions with a certified Reiki Master, Saba Hocek of Self Empowered Minds, are also available by appointment.
Can I become a certified Reiki practitioner or Reiki Master?
Yes. Beyond our healing circles, we offer Reiki training including Reiki I & II and a Reiki Master certification, for those who want to deepen their practice or learn to share Reiki with others. You can explore our Reiki certification programs from the Reiki Programs menu.
