Active Studios’ Women’s Self Defense program was developed in partnership with military special forces personnel and members of the NYPD. It’s a layered, comprehensive approach that covers more than just physical techniques—it prepares you mentally, emotionally, and physically to handle threatening situations.
The curriculum focuses on three critical elements:
Identifying danger before it escalates
Using verbal de-escalation to defuse a situation
Eliminating threats quickly and effectively if necessary
